POLISHED CONCRETE.
With a range of gloss finishes and of aggregate exposure to choose from, polished concrete is a versatile and low maintenance flooring option for interior or exterior concrete floors, old or new.
GRIND AND SEAL
We grind your concrete to your preferred aggregate exposure. Following this we grind with a finer grit to ensure scratches are eliminated and may grout the floor if you prefer a smoother more refined look. Finally, a protective sealer is applied to the floor. You can also choose different gloss levels, tints, contrasts, add pigments and slip reducing additives at this stage!
HONED CONCRETE
This method is typically used for external floors such as driveways, pool surrounds, footpaths and patio areas. The initial process is the same as for a grind and seal however we use a penetrating sealer which absorbs into the concrete rather than sitting on top. The advantage of this outside is that the sealer is not prone to scratching or wear and tear over time.Â
Honed concrete is only available in a matte finish but full aggregate exposure is still possible!
MECHANICALLY POLISHED CONCRETE
A decorative, high-gloss finish for exposed aggregate floors. Typically for indoor application such as showrooms, high-end real estate and areas where aesthetic properties including flatness and reflectivity of the floor are top priority. The process involves cutting the concrete to achieve your level of preferred aggregate exposure followed by increasingly finer grit cuts and the application of densifier and grout. The process is rounded out with polishing of the floor with resin pads and application of a penetrating sealer. The result is a surface that shines and offers exceptional durability.
